What is the
I’ve been a brand photographer for years, and I’ve watched so many women build incredible businesses and still feel unsure about showing up consistently in their marketing.
And if I’m honest, I get it.
I care about visibility. I teach visibility. But I still struggle with visibility too. That’s part of why I started Kickawesome Academy.
I didn’t want another one-time brand photography session that felt great for a minute and then didn’t quite fit a few months later. I wanted structure. A way to step back, look at what my business actually needs to communicate, and plan brand photography strategically instead of guessing.

Frequently Asked Questions
The practicum is a guided implementation session where you apply what you’ve learned in training and create updated brand photography aligned with your current business goals. It is designed to reinforce strategy, not just capture images.
What happens during the quarterly practicum?
Live training happens on the first Friday of every month at 10:00 AM Mountain Time. If you can’t attend live, you’ll receive the recording so you can stay current with the training. The important part is that you’re applying what you learn… not just watching it.
Do i have to attend the monthly calls live?
Kickawesome Academy is structured as a professional development training program. Utah-based businesses may inquire about Custom Fit eligibility through their local provider. Custom Fit can cover 40–50% of qualifying training costs — search "Custom Fit Utah" + your county to find your local contact and ask about eligibility.
Can this qualify for Custom Fit funding in Utah?
Kickawesome Academy runs on a 3-month cycle.
That includes planning, training, and one quarterly session… so there’s a 3-month minimum to make sure you get the full experience.
Most members stay longer, because this is something that builds over time.
What is the commitment?
You can choose the level that fits how you want to create your content.
Training Only gives you the full system, monthly training, and planning tools (no shoots).
Standard includes the full program plus quarterly practicum sessions with 20 images.
Full Content includes everything in Standard, plus your full gallery and B-roll video so you have content ready to use without overthinking it.
What’s the difference between the options?
You can still join and attend that session.
Just keep in mind the Academy runs on a 3-month cycle, so your membership includes the full process… not just the shoot.
What if I join right before a practicum session?
Yes. If you book a VIP session during your membership, it replaces your quarterly practicum for that cycle. It’s a more custom version of the same process. Academy members have access to a preferred VIP rate.
Can I add a VIP session while in the Academy?
That’s perfect.
The Academy gives you a structure so your brand and content keep evolving instead of falling behind again. A lot of people use this alongside past sessions.
What if I’ve already done a VIP session?
The training portion is all online, so you can join from anywhere.
The practicum sessions happen in Utah. If you’re not local or don’t want to attend those, the Training Only option is a good fit.
Do I have to be located in Utah?
B-roll is included in the Full Content option.
It’s simple, natural video captured during your session… meant to give you usable clips for your website, social, and launches.
